Why was it banned/challenged?

One of the most commonly banned and challenged books of the past few years, All Boys Aren’t Blue is frequently called out for profanity and LGBTQ content. Some claim the book is sexually explicit, and/or obscene (note that the book does not meet the Miller Test and thus is not obscene by any legal definition of the word). Others take issue with the author’s recounting of a sexual assault they experienced as a teenager.
